Software privacy
Section titled “Software privacy”fialr is local-only software. This is an architectural constraint, not a policy preference.
- No file content, filename, metadata, or derived artifact is transmitted to any external service at any stage.
- All AI-assisted enrichment runs locally via Ollama on localhost. The inference interface is abstracted so cloud endpoints cannot be configured.
- The SQLite database and all job artifacts remain on the machine where fialr runs.
- No telemetry, usage analytics, crash reports, or phone-home behavior of any kind.
This constraint is enforced in code. The inference.py abstraction layer does not accept remote endpoints.
License activation
Section titled “License activation”fialr makes a single outbound request during license activation to api.fialr.com. This request transmits:
- Your license key
- A machine identifier (hardware fingerprint)
- The fialr version
No file data, filenames, metadata, or usage information is included. After activation, fialr operates fully offline. No further network requests are made for any reason.
Data we collect
Section titled “Data we collect”When you purchase a fialr license, we collect:
- Email address (for license delivery and billing inquiries)
- Payment information (processed by Stripe; we do not store card details)
- License activation records (license key, machine identifier, activation timestamp)
We do not sell, share, or disclose this data to third parties except as required for payment processing (Stripe) or legal compliance.
Documentation site
Section titled “Documentation site”This documentation site at fialr.com collects no personal data.
Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare provides DDoS protection and edge caching. Cloudflare’s privacy practices are governed by their privacy policy.
Analytics. No analytics are installed on this site. No first-party or third-party tracking scripts are loaded.
Cookies. This site sets no first-party cookies. Cloudflare may set functional cookies for security purposes (bot detection, DDoS mitigation). These are not used for tracking.
Fonts. All fonts are self-hosted. No requests are made to Google Fonts or any other external font service.
Server logs. Standard HTTP server logs are maintained by Cloudflare per their retention policies. These logs contain IP addresses, request URLs, and user agent strings.
Data retention
Section titled “Data retention”- License activation records are retained for the lifetime of the license.
- Payment records are retained per Stripe’s data retention policies and applicable tax/accounting requirements.
- We do not retain any data derived from your use of fialr software, because no such data is ever transmitted.
